The Vision
Two childhood friends began working together in a small family owned transportation business.  The small business had potential but lacked the vision for growth.  It was here when Argishti and Serge decided to branch off on their own and start up a company in an industry in which they knew had so much opportunity for improvement. Their dreams were to tap into a market and deliver services that no other third-party logistics could offer.

They had the vision, the drive and the insight to carry out their dreams but lacked the financial needs to start-up the business.  The two approached Argishti’s brother and long-time family friend to invest in the business.  With their acceptance, their dreams were within reach. Their mission was simple… to set out to create a reputable third-party logistics source of transportation that stood out from the competition with proactive communication and high standards of integrity.         

Passion, Drive, and Dedication
In March of 2006, Neptune opened up its doors to the logistics world.  This was made possible, only after Armen took out a second mortgage on his home and family friend exhausted his family savings.  The partners were on their way to changing an industry known for little or no communication and unsatisfactory customer service.     

After opening its doors the struggle to get customers along with vendors to jump on board with the new business demonstrated the complexity of starting in the industry.  Their new challenge was to build a reputation in which freight companies would be able to trust and accept Neptune Transportation, Incorporated.

Within the first year, the founding partners worked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Making it a practice to be available when other brokerage firms where nowhere to be found.  Vowing not to be the same brokerage company they repeatedly criticized, sleeping overnight in the office weekdays and on weekends was not uncommon.

Their strong sense of business ethics and superior customer service prevailed.  After 14 long months of blood, sweat, and sleepless nights… Neptune had established itself.  They caught the attention of a finance company, which saw potential in the young energetic company.

Growth and Development
Within the first year, Neptune Transportation Inc. generated 1 million in revenue and by the second year of its opening, the company experienced a 50% increase in sales doubling its revenue.  Much of it’s beginning success is due to their dedicated team members who provide proactive 24hr communication, outstanding customer service and other value-added services that give them an edge over their competitors, expanding their clientele.

Neptune has also outsourced its competitors by offering their driver base: fuel advancement, quick-pay, as well as the same 24hr service they provide to their customers.  Their advantages quickly proved to be successful, with business booming, they relocated to a larger office in Burbank, CA that better accommodated their growing staff.

In an industry impacted by economical changes and growing customer needs Neptune’s contemporary views of continuously changing and adapting to current trends in the changing market, proves to be their success.  This young company’s modernistic approach to keeping up with technological advancements, new business innovations, current customers needs keeps them above their competition.  

Future Growth
The company showed growth year over year along with the 30% in monthly growth sales that could be contributed to management’s aggressiveness in recruiting quality sales talent.  In addition to its core service offerings, the company wants to expand its value-added services such as: truck registration, insurance, and all required permits for drivers to operate nation wide.

The convenience of providing all these services to drivers out of one office will help the growth of this company by 40%.  The growth potential for Neptune’s services is virtually unlimited. According to the Transportation Intermediaries Association, third-party logistics companies control 20 percent, or $60 billion worth of the truckload market per year.

Neptune plans controlled growth and expansion so that the founding principles of integrity and incomparable service are maintained, making sure that their customers are never compromised.  Increasing market share in the truckload sector, furthering their technological innovation, along with exploring opportunities in other modes of freight transportation will empower them to be the best in the business.  To support ongoing growth, Neptune continually invests in their strongest asset — their employees.
